We are home from Children's Memorial. Natalie had a clogged bile duct, but the reason is uncertain. A cholangiogram was performed (die was injected into the bile ducts to get a better look at the situation) but the obstruction that was seen on the ultrasound was gone. It's unclear if the die helped to unclog her or if she took care of it on her own. Dr. Whittington seemed to think that her liver is getting worse and that she may need a transplant sooner than we thought. Dr. Superina on the otherhand seemed to think that the section of intestine that was used for the Kasai operation may have narrowed and a surgery may be able to correct the problem. For now we wait and see...
