My Irish Uncle

Post date: Feb 28, 2013 3:18:36 PM

Once there was a man who was larger than life, though he wasn't more than 4 foot tall.

Once there was a man who was stronger than an ox, though he always sat.

Once there was a man who taught me about life in a wheelchair.

He was brave.

He was assertive.

He was stubborn.

He was an advocate for all he believed in.

To him, family came first.

He was my Uncle Tim.

And now, he walks with the Lord.

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields and,

Until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I love you Tim.
